A good pal, Tom, led the charge in installing a new trolling motor on my boat. Now we can go out and fish for musky.

Nature In Action

Found this baby snapping turtle in the backyard. He/she couldn't be more that a day or two old.

Clouds Over Hay Field

I was out the other day with my pal, Red, and we did some photography of barns. I was intrigued by this hay field - I like the rough texture of the cut hay and the contrasting soft texture of the clouds.

Screaming Eagle

Captured this fellow from our boat. We have a nesting eagle pair on the island across from our house and this parent seemed to be taking a break from the two eaglets in the nest.

Nesting Loon

Tonight I got in pretty close to a nesting loon and started firing away. The loon was continually moving her head and rubbing it against be back. It wasn't until I got home and looked closely at the image that I noted the red ants all over her breast, neck and head - they must have been driving her crazy! Click on this photo to enlarge it and you'll clearly see the ants.
